In order to understand nutrition, we first must define what nutrition is. Nutrition is the process of eating food that your cells and organisms need to live and function in order for us to live. In much shorter terms, nutrition has to do with us eating food and digesting it so our bodies can grow and maintain being healthy.

The reason we need nutrition is so that our bodies can function. Nutrition provides us with energy and strength. Without it we would be lethargic and not want to get anything done and we would eventually become sick and really unhealthy, ultimately resulting in malnutrition. We need healthy foods to help aid organs, skin and hair. You get essential vitamins from the food you eat.

Fruits and vegetables are very vital to keeping your body clean. You need fruits and vegetables on a daily basis. The water that is inside of these foods is what helps to keep one's body hydrated and clean. Carbs, fats and proteins are macro nutrients and vitamins and minerals are macro nutrients. You need all of these things in order to stay healthy and free of diseases and illnesses.

So far you are seeing that nutrition is extremely important. It is so important that many people are becoming aware that they must eat healthy in order to be healthy. People are seeking the help of nutritionist to make sure that they are giving their body what it needs. What most people do not understand is that everyone's body is different and with that, each person has their own specialized diet.
