A spice can also be an ingredient that can help people with diabetes and hypertension. Just some of the ingredients that can do these are turmeric, chives, onion, bay leaf, and cinnamon.

Another use that a spice may have would be to help aid in one digestion any digestive problem he may have. A good example would be sage and thyme. These two are perfect for easier digestion of any fatty food. Indigestion can be remedied by using peppercorns, peppermint, and turmeric.

You also have those spices that are well known for being capable of preventing certain diseases. According to studies, a spice called basil is good against rheumatoid arthritis and asthma. Colds and scurvy can be prevented with orange peel. Prostate cancer is said to be something that you can avoid with the help of chili pepper.

Vitamins E and A are just a few of the substances that can be considered as antioxidants. The body needs antioxidants in order to prevent the cells from deteriorating due to oxidation reactions. You may not know it but antioxidants are present in dill weed, oregano, thyme, turmeric, parsley, peppermint, and basil.

Diuretic property is one more example of a property that you can find in a spice. Diuretics are widely used by doctors for patients that need to get rid of excess fluids. This is common among cases involving kidney problems. Three examples of a spice with this kind of property would be the anise star, cilantro, and garlic.

Using a spice instead of a synthetic compound has so many advantages. One of these advantages is that it is very easy to use. You can just use these plants while you are cooking. You can even put in your drinks especially on tea, milk, and other kinds of beverages. This makes ingesting a spice easier and hassle free.

Other than the health benefits of spices stated above, many benefits have not been mentioned. If you want to stay healthy, having a spice garden would be beneficial. This is a cheap way that you can take good care of your body.
